The journey to Sonic Spaceship launch
Today the Sonic Spaceship website launches. Not perfect. Not finished. But ALIVE.
This is the philosophy in action: start before you're ready. Show the process. Let people see the journey, not just the destination. Every day from now until launch on January 20th, this site will grow, evolve, breathe.
Easter eggs hidden. Secrets waiting to be discovered. Just like finding your voice - it's about exploration, not perfection.
Had an insight while cooking today (where all the best ideas come from, apparently). I was pickling radishes and realized: transformation takes time. You can't rush fermentation. You create the conditions and trust the process.
Same with voice. You can't force someone to "sing correctly." But you CAN create conditions where their natural voice emerges. Movement. Play. Character embodiment. These bypass the analytical brain and let the body remember what it already knows.
The pirate doesn't think about breath support. The pirate commands the ship.
Discovered something fascinating: specialized neurons that respond ONLY to singing. Not speech. Not music. Just singing. And here's the kicker - in people who've experienced trauma or disconnection from their voice, these pathways are still there. Dormant. Waiting.
This is why character work and movement-based approaches work so well. We're not teaching new skills. We're reactivating preserved neural pathways through safe, playful exploration.
Science validates what the body already knows.
35 days of daily videos leading to workshop launch. Am I terrified? Yes. Am I doing it anyway? Also yes.
ADHD brain loves the structure: one video per day, any task, talk while doing it. Cook breakfast? Content. Pickle vegetables? Content. Walk to work? Content. The story is in the living, not the polishing.
This is the anti-perfectionism approach to both content creation AND voice work. Start messy. Stay authentic. Trust the process.
